Oh hello...

Well, it's been a while... my hectic schedule has definitely been keeping me busy! But this semester has definitely been great and crazy so far and it's almost over! I'm currently waiting in Coates Hall for my Public Speaking class to start. I'm just so ready to not be feeling so busy and stressed all the time because I am worn out. However, a much needed vacation is just a little over a week away. Yes, Spring Break starts next Friday! I have my cousin, Misty's wedding to go to on that Friday and then the next morning I'll be heading off to Gulf Shores! I can't wait to just soak up the sun and lay around.
But this weekend is also nice to look forward to because I'm going home and starting the process of moving all of my things back home. Unfortunately, my family is ditching me and going to Jackson for the weekend with the "in-laws" (YES! My sister is FINALLY engaged!). So I'll be having a weekend of studying and I'll be heading to Picayune with Scott and his family for his uncle's birthday. A lovely weekend to look forward to and Spring Break to follow soon after!!

Oh and here's a picture from Formal! On the left is my little, Morgan, and on my right is her little (my grandlittle), Helen.

It's almost over..

Yep. My much-needed break is almost over. I've definitely taken advantage of the longer sleep schedule and vegging-out. I don't think I've watched so much TV in quite some time. However, I am ready to get back to the grind and get into some sort of schedule again. I'm sure I'll regret saying that in about a week. I'm taking seventeen hours this semester and I'm pretty sure it's going to kick me in the behind, but I'm so ready for it. After this semester, I will be halfway through undergrad! That's so exciting, yay! I am hoping that I will start feeling better by the time school starts next Tuesday... This random weather has been killing my allergies and sinuses. I've been having a pounding headache, stuffy nose, sore throat, and just icky stuff. I'm sure anyone with this common problem can sympathize with me right now. Well.. the NyQuil is starting to kick in... goodnight!!

Oh.. and here's a picture of my gnome that Santa got me for Christmas. His name is Ellis Hugh (get it? Say it out loud) and you can find him on Facebook! :)

December 7, 2010

Oh hey there. Why am I posting in the middle of finals, you ask? Because procrastination has officially won me over. But I'm calling this a study break. Finals are almost over! I took Anatomy yesterday and got a B on it and took Landscape Architecture this morning and I feel like I got an A. All I have left now is Psychology and Chemistry! After tomorrow, I will be homeward bound and looking forward to fixing my sleep schedule! Pandora, chocolate, sunflower seeds, Coke, and Monster is keeping me sane and studious this week. Oh well...guess I better get back at it... the end is near!!

November 18, 2010

So I think it's become a pattern that I'm updating every Thursday at work because this is basically the only time I have to update! Homecoming was so much fun! Our house won 2nd place for decorations! If you want to see pictures, my mother has a blog and has lots of pictures!
I'm so ready to go home for Thanksgiving. I need a break really bad right now and I'm getting pretty homesick. I just want to curl up in my bed and have some me time. I can't wait for REAL food and time with family, but most of all, decorating for CHRISTMAS!! BAHH I'm so excited!
However, today is going to be a WONDERFUL day! I get off of work today at 12, then I'll be doing some work for a bit. I think I might have to fit in a nap somewhere... At 6, we finally have Step Show tryouts! Last year was the first PHC Step Show with all of the sororities taking part in it and my sorority won 3rd place! Now I hope I get to be a part of the team this year and get 1st!! After Step Show tryouts is the one highlight of my LIFE: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere!!!! Me and a whole bunch of people (basically the entire city of Baton Rouge) is going tonight. Me and my little, Mo are going to try to dress up, so we'll see how that goes! Here's picture in honor of the premiere!! Oooo so intense!!

Happy Veteran's Day to everyone! I'm proud to be an American and grateful to be free!!
This week has been crazy, but when are my weeks never crazy? Today has been a blah, whatever day. I'm at work right now and then I'll be heading on over to the Student Copy Center to print out this poster for my Landscape Architecture class. Here's one of the pictures that I used in it; it's a mountain in Yosemite Valley in California. Absolutely beautiful!
I absolutely CANNOT wait until this weekend. Scott is coming in on Friday with his parents and they are going to take us out to dinner. Saturday is Homecoming! Our house will be having lawn decorations and hopefully we will win! I can't wait to put up pictures after this weekend. My parents and my cousin and her mom are coming up for the festivities. My cousin, Katelyn (who is a senior in high school) is looking for a college right now, and she's never been to LSU! So I cannot wait to show her how AWESOME we are. :)
Well, I'm about to get off of work, so see ya later!

November 4, 2010

Well, it's been a while since I've posted here, and I have a good reason! School has taken over my life! Being back at LSU has been a nice breath of fresh air, but it gets pretty old pretty fast. This has probably been the toughest semester I've had thus far. However, I'm going pretty well with all of my grades and everything! It's very demanding but I can do it because I want to be a nurse! Speaking of nursing, I've decided to stay at LSU and get an undergrad in Kinesiology first, then go to nursing school afterwards. I feel like it would be nice to have an undergrad in PT and a BSN. Plus, I can stay here and do some things that I want to achieve and basically live the college life. Nursing school will always be waiting for me. :)
Everything with Zeta and living in the house has been pretty sweet too! I love my roommates and just living in the house in general. Sometimes it has got its ups and downs, but it's so convenient and I get to know my sisters better! Tomorrow is our Initiation and I'm so excited to initiate my little sister, Mo! She's the best and I love her sooo much!!
Well, I guess I'll end there with a picture from this past weekend! Me and Scott went to VooDoo and I got to see my all-time favorite band, MUSE!!!! Here's a picture of me and Scott waiting to see the gods of music!

August 1, 2010

So this was my last weekend in New Orleans before I move back up to Baton Rouge... bittersweet. I'll be glad to be on my own again, but I will be missing my family and a room to myself and things of that sort. But one thing that's really going to be different is that Scott isn't going to be coming back up with me because he's going to Delgado or UNO this year. But he's trying to work his way back up :)

Anyways, today was a pretty good day. I just chilled out and relaxed after a late night with old friends at Tuck's last night. Meg and Matt came by and they floated around in the pool while I read a bit more of Order of the Phoenix. Mom and Dad made a yummy-licious dinner of grilled burgers, mac and cheese, sausages, and corn on the cob- while Shark Week is on the TV. Pretty awesome day. My big project I did for the day was finish my canvas picture I want to hang in my room in the Zeta house when I move in on Thursday! Here it is right here. :)

July 28, 2010

So summer is coming to an end... it went by so fast! In about a week, I'll be moving back up to Baton Rouge for school and everything will be starting back up again. I don't want to go back into the real world!

Well, today has been a very nice and lazy day. I have been watching TV and watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix today. Now, I think I'm going to paint a canvas with a quote on it to hang on my wall in my room that I will be sharing with three of my wonderful sorority sisters! I'm not sure what the quote will be yet, but we shall see soon what it will be... at 6:00, I'm going to meet up with a bunch of my RYLA people and go to the Zephyr's game together for a little reunion. :) Until next time!
